Parent Teacher Interviews

We can’t believe how quickly this term is drawing to a close. We would love to chat to you about the progress your child has already made this year at our upcoming parent teacher interviews. You should have received an email from Lee-Anne in our school front office, explaining this process and providing a booking link. Thank you to those of you who have already responded. Please let us know if you did not receive the information or would like some help to follow the process. Thank you.

An Invitation to All

JLC Mums, Dads, Carers!

Join us for an informal social evening at The Three Gums Bistro at Hahndorf Resort on Friday 5th April at 7.30pm.  Come for dinner, coffee, dessert, stay for half an hour or the evening – whatever suits you.

If possible please let Louise (0458 150871) know if you’re going before Monday 1st, so we have an idea of numbers.

Term 1, Week 6

Hi Everyone,

We’ve been really busy the last few weeks and thought we would share some of our exciting learning experiences with you.

Last week we had a special online session with a lady from KidsHelpline called Amber.  She was in Brisbane and talked to us about how we can manage our emotions.  It was amazing to chat with someone so far away through our computer!  Technology is pretty amazing!  We are almost finished with our first unit of inquiry – please chat with us about strategies to manage our emotions, working in the ‘green zone’, the Catastrophe Scale and how to fill someone’s emotional ‘bucket’.

We have been continuing to work on number in maths and developing our mental computation strategies, and we hope that you have also been working on these at home too.  We’ve started writing some stories and learning new spelling routines in the classroom.

Even though we’re only half way through the term, some of us are already a bit tired from working so hard and we are looking forward to our public holiday on Monday.
