Week 10 Update

Parent Interviews
Don’t forget to book your Parent Interview time for next week. Check out the newsletter or the school website to book online. Bookings will close on Monday morning.

Premier’s Reading Challenge
The Year 3 ‘s Premier’s Reading Challenge is well under way now and your child should have a number of books recorded on their form already. In case you have forgotten, the sheet is in the back of your child’s homework book. If you need help recording, please let us know. The Year 2’s books are being recorded at school as we read them together. Don’t forget that we have had no homework grid this week so do some extra reading.

Holiday Library Borrowing
Library books need to be returned on Wednesday 12th April as we will be borrowing for the holiday on Thursday 13th April.

Head Lice
We seem to be having reoccurrences of nits among our learning community. Can you please be vigilant in checking your child’s hair.

Missing uniforms
Could everyone please have a close look at the jumpers and hats that are coming home. We have several students who are currently missing these items and would dearly love to have theirs returned. It is quite fathomable that your child might accidentally mix theirs up with someone else’s and bring the wrong one home. Thanks!

Laratinga Wetlands

What a lovely day to go bird watching!
Thank you to all the parents who helped out today it was a great excursion to the Wetlands.
Today’s activities were a part of our Science curriculum on ways we can record and observe living creatures. We drew diagrams, recorded in data tables and used a Venn diagram to show what we saw at the wetlands. Here are few photos of our day.

Week 10

Homework
The Junior Learning Community will not be having a homework grid for the last two weeks of school. We will still continue with spelling words and reading.

Any medications required on the day needs to be handed to the teacher in the morning in a clearly labelled bag.
Children will need to bring :
-fruit in a separate disposable bag
-recess in a disposable bag
-a hat
– a water bottle.

A big thankyou to all the parents and the class carers for the chat up afternoon last Friday. It was lovely to see you all there.
